Too Much of a Good Thing?

I'm sure you have heard of the saying "everything in moderation" but did you know that it includes exercise also? Lately, I have seen many people in my office coming in for some nutritional "coaching" because of their constant exhaustion. While it is true that what you eat influences your energy level, more time than not it was due to their exercise program.
Why is it that we tend to believe that the more you exercise the better it is?  In fact, too much exercise can be as bad for you as too little. Overexercising can depress the immune system so you pick up every bug going around. Of course, it is up to you to find what is in "balance" for you.
The more I read about those "centurions" (people living past 100 years) the more I believe it is important to eat your veggies and enjoy a moderate, daily, physical activity program (including daily stretching). Not only that, a good sense of humour, a stress management plan, and a social network can increase your quality of life as much as the healthy eating and exercise.
Just something to consider for the health of it....
